Dance and learn with professional tango teachers in carefully designed workshops. The workshops are open to all levels and focus on connection, musicality and shared exploration.
Enjoy tango milongas in unique venues, filled with midsummer atmosphere. Afternoon milongas are relaxed and social, while the night milongas invite you to dive deeper into the music and the mystery.
Discover Helsingborg through a curated city walk where tango meets the city itself. Along the way, we stop to dance, meet and experience the city together.
A gentle start to the festival. Registration, saying hello to friends, and settling in after travel, with good food to calm both hunger and travel rush.
We warm up the festival with a mix of traditional and more playful tango music.

Join the national Midsummer celebration at Fredriksdal with music, dancing and a picnic in the gardens. Entrance and catering will be arranged for festival participants and must be booked at least four days in advance.
Social dancing at Stampus. Depending on the weather, we dance indoors or outdoors.

A traditional Midsummer meal with non-alcoholic beverages. Food is served within one hour, and you are welcome to stay, eat and enjoy the company at your own pace.
An evening milonga with Golden Age tango music. A flowery theme is welcome, but of course not obligatory.

Explore how to create a clear and engaging tango story using tension, intention and connection beyond steps.

A playful exploration of how emotions and expression can be gently woven into the dance.

Farewell dinner.
A free, open-air milonga for everyone, danced on a simple outdoor floor. Weather permitting, we meet by the water for a relaxed and unpretentious evening dance.
Please note that this event may be cancelled in case of heavy rain or strong winds.
We close the festival where it began. Mixed music, snacks and drinks (feel free to bring your own), and plenty of time to dance and socialise.
Included for festival participants. Other guests are kindly asked to pay an entrance fee of 100 SEK.

On the opening evening of the festival, Tania guides us gently into the tango weekend. Her music moves between traditional and more playful tango, setting a warm and relaxed tone for the days to come.

After the Midsummer celebrations in the park, Marcela invites us back to the classics. With a deep love for traditional tango, she creates a joyful and grounded afternoon atmosphere on the dance floor.
Acacio Coelho (Portugal / Hungary)
A dancer at heart, Acacio selects music that invites joy, playfulness and connection. His choices move between alternative tango sounds and more traditional music, always chosen to inspire relaxed and happy dancing.
Barney Horsdahl (Denmark)
Barney brings us back to the roots of tango with a warm and dynamic selection of Golden Age music, chosen to support flow, musicality and shared moments on the dance floor.
Alfredo "Oso" Astesiano (Italy)
On the final day of Festivalito, Alfredo shares his musical inspiration with a thoughtful and expressive tango selection, offering a gentle and heartfelt close to the weekend.
Tension and Storytelling
How can a single tanda become a highlight for both you and your partner? In this workshop, we explore tools beyond steps and sequences, focusing on tension, intention and how to build and navigate a shared story in a clear and safe way.
Show and Drama
Let’s play. Together with Carina and Alfredo, we explore how emotions, thoughts and intentions can be expressed and gently integrated into the dance. A workshop inspired by their work as choreographers and lead dancers of the tango operetta Tango Bohème.
Tradition and Novelty
What is “right” or “wrong” in tango style? Where is the line between innovation and tradition, and how do we adapt when dancing in new places? This workshop explores different tango styles, from early traditions to contemporary fusion, with space to observe, try and reflect.
Hang in There!
Time to experiment. Acacio introduces off-axis and off-the-ground movements, focusing on safe technique and trust. Playful, slightly challenging, and designed to expand both confidence and curiosity on the dance floor.
